My teaching approach

I teach children and adults at all stages of learning, including complete beginners, helping each student build confidence and enjoy playing the violin. Lessons are always tailored to the individual, whether we are working on technique, preparing for ABRSM exams, or developing more expressive and confident playing.

My teaching style is calm and structured, with a focus on steady progress, good technique, and enjoyment of music over time. Every student learns at their own pace, and lessons are adapted to suit their goals and experience level.

Lessons across London and the Home Counties

As a peripatetic violin teacher, I teach students across London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, and Hertfordshire. This includes areas such as Harrow, Watford, Luton, Dunstable, St Albans, Rickmansworth, Harpenden, Radlett, Chorleywood, and Borehamwood.

Adult and Child Beginners & ABRSM Exam Preparation

I work with both adult beginners and children who are starting the violin for the first time. Lessons are always adapted to the individual, with a clear and supportive approach that helps build confidence from the very beginning — no matter your age.

For younger students, lessons are structured in a way that keeps learning engaging and enjoyable, while still developing strong technical foundations. For adult learners, the focus is often on clear, steady progress at a comfortable pace, with plenty of support along the way.

I also prepare students for ABRSM exams, helping them develop the technical skills, musical understanding, and confidence needed to progress through the grades if they choose to follow that pathway.
